Work(403) 504-3351
I'm a 45-year-old bald man who grew up in Calgary (with hair, and lots of it), but attended Caronport High School in Saskatchewan, promptly moved to Edmonton, then bounced to Regina to complete a Bachelor of Journalism degree.
Following a life-altering fiasco (a story for another time), I walked away from that career and established myself in Medicine Hat, working as a Youth Advocate, during which time I counselled and mentored children in trouble. I became a Family School Liaison Worker (a long title that essentially means "school counsellor") in 2002 with the excellent Prairie Rose School Division, work that I love dearly, though I now supervise those hard-working FSLWs. During the early aughts (I never knew what to call the ten years between 2000 and 2010), I completed a second bachelor's degree, this time in psychology. I then scurried into a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology, which I completed in 2006, then became a registered psychologist later that year.
I've been married almost 20 years (!), and I'm still madly in love with my bride. I have three kids who could each win your heart in less than a beat, and they daily rock my world. I am living proof it's possible for one man to be wrapped around three different fingers at the same time.
I am a Christian, and hold my faith to be a vital and powerful part of my entire life, including my work as a psychologist. I believe it is my duty to perform my work at my best level, to God's glory.
